Gracie Barra: Kings of Lisbon and South Brazil

The 2013 IBJJF South-Brazilian Championship took place on Saturday, July 6th at the Complexo Esportivo Rozendo Vasconcelos Lima in Florianopolis, Brazil and the 2013 IBJJF Lisboa International Open was held the following day on Sunday, July 7th at the Casal Vistoso Pavillion in Lisbon, Portugal.

Something both tournaments had in common was that in the team results, Gracie Barra took first on the podium.

Black belts Rodrigo "Pimpolho" Fajardo, Claudio Cardoso, Vinicius Magro, and Andre Campos were leading the Gracie Barra team down in sunny Florianopolis, Brazil. The four competitors listed above all took gold in their respective divisions.

5205 Miles to the Northeast, Roberto "Tussa" Alencar, Handre Peters, Nathan Roberts, Tiago Carvalho (Double Gold Brown Belt), and Martin Gobel all helped lead Gracie Barra to the top of the podium in Lisbon.

In just two short weeks the Gracie Barra team has won the IBJJF European No-Gi Championship, the Rome International Open, the Lisbon International Open, and the South-Brazilian Championships. Another remarkable feat by this legendary team led by Carlos Gracie, Jr.
